Rory Simmons is a multi-instrumentalist, producer and composer who has worked as a session musician alongside the likes of Blur, Jamie Cullum, Raye, Paolo Nutini, and has appeared on tracks from Labrinth, Dermot Kennedy, Mount Kimbie and toured with the Maccabees, as well as touring worldwide as a session musician. Rory has performed at Montreux Jazz Festival, Carnegie Hall, Hollywood Bowl and beyond.
He has released his own music under other alter-egos, collaborated and contributed to countless tracks, albums and projects in the electronic world as well as across pop, jazz, classical and film/TV worlds. Over the last few years, he has produced 4 singles for hotly tipped new artist Nym and for new breakthrough act 'Eloise' including her acclaimed single 'Now He Wears White’.
He has released 5 EP's as Harlequiin with radio play and recognition from BBC Introducing, Wonderland, Sidewalk Hustle, High Snobiety among others, with his previous single 'Something To Believe In' remaining in the Amazing Radio Top 40 for 4 weeks. He has released 3 albums with his trio Monocled Man, 3 albums and one EP with his large ensemble Fringe Magnetic and 2 albums with Anglo-Norwegian band Eyes Of A Blue Dog. Rory has been featured on Jazz on 3, been commissioned by BBC Late Junction, Cheltenham International Jazz Festival, and the Institute Of Education; and also remixed tracks for Jamie Cullum, Nostalgia 77 and Troyka.
